There are many visions that a person sees in a dream. It should not be narrated to anyone, and this is evidenced by his saying – peace be upon him -: (Do not tell a dream except to a scholar or a counsellor).
The Companions used to tell the Noble Prophet – peace be upon him – everything they saw, and he – peace be upon him – would ask them that, in the honourable hadith on the authority of Samra bin Jundab: Yesterday’s vision?)
The Prophet, peace, and blessings are upon him, has also explained to us the approach to dealing with visions after seeing them, whether they are valid or not, by saying – peace be upon him.
“If any of you sees a dream that he loves, then it is from Allah, so let him praise Allah, and if someone else has it, he should be praised for it.
” Whatever he dislikes, it is from Satan, so let him seeks protection from its evil, and do not mention it to anyone, for it does not harm him).
Just as the visions do not all have clear indications, the interpretation of the visions is a speculative matter that is not definitive, but rather it is used and guided by it, and it should not be based on definitive expectations. Allah willing-.
